WinterGass, LLC is a digital production company based in Los Angeles, CA, founded and owned by Kyle Gass of Tenacious D and Bruce Winterton (formerly) of The Barbarian Group. Kyle is, of course, a rockstar and guitarist of the highest caliber.  In addition to being one of two members (the other being Jack Black) of the self-proclaimed Greatest Band on Earth, Tenacious D he also headlines the band Trainwreck.   He is also a music producer and an actor and generally a well-connected good guy on the Los Angeles scene.  Bruce comes from the advertising business with a long line of successes including the Miller High Life Man, the Keep Walking campaign for Johnnie Walker, HELLOMOTO, and CNN tshirts.  Most recently Bruce was a partner and owner of The Barbarian Group, the preeminent digital creative company.

WinterGass combines Kyle’s deep music and entertainment experience with Bruce’s equally deep advertising and digital chops to create a new digitally focused production company.  WinterGass has already produced one webseries, Guitarings, and is looking for opportunities to develop more.  In addition, WinterGass will naturally be creating and producing music videos and advertisements.

Our lead director is Bruce’s son Brian Winterton (brianwinterton.com) who is a production graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts.  Brian has already distinguished himself with his award-winning short, 00:05’01.  In addition to his work for WinterGass Brian is writing several scripts including a feature length version of 00:05’01.
